Below is some general information on the services I offer but is not an extensive list, so if you have a query that is not covered below please do get in touch.
Clothing Alterations
Almost any general clothing alterations are possible. If you have something in need of alteration or repair please get in touch. I charge £20 per hour with a minimum charge of 1 hour. Some alterations do not take 1 hour however and so several garments altered at once are often more cost effective.
Proms and Bridesmaids
I have been altering and amending gowns for over 30 years so am very expert and experienced with all kinds of styles and fabrics of special occasion gowns. I will advise and give a professional view of alterations needed and not needed. Most gowns require two fittings, one at the beginning and one once the work had been completed. I have a minimum charge of £50 per dress. Quotations can be given by emailing a picture and details of the dress.
Wedding dresses
Wedding dress alterations are very specialised so choose your seamstress wisely. The work requires experience with delicate and/or beaded fabrics. Each dress is individual so please get in touch to discuss your requirements and for a quotation. I appreciate that Brides like to put something in the budget for your dress alterations so I would always advise to budget £200 as an average but it all depends on the extent of the alterations needed.
